Garretstown East - White Strand
Incredible geology accompanies us launching the kayak from this beautiful white beach south of Kinsale. Stratified sediments push up into dramatic synclines on the cliff side here. We head out to the Old Head of Kinsale or Hole Open Bay West. On very good weather days one can paddle under the headland into Hole Open Bay East. Dramatic and scary paddling underneath the Old Head we are rewarded by small beaches, when on a low tide, let us visit for a cuppa and treat us to mesmerising views.
